Accounts & Profiles
How do I create a main parent account?
Sign up with Google, Apple, Facebook, or email. Then verify your identity with KWS (Kids Web Services), and set up your profile.
How do I add my child?
There are two ways to add a child:
- You can add a child during onboarding. You enter your child’s name, date of birth, and choose a four-digit PIN.
- You can also add a child from your account menu. Go to Account, open Family & Roles, and select Add Child. You follow the same steps: enter the name, the age, and choose a four-digit PIN.
The PIN is not sent by email. You share it with your child through a separate message or call.
How do I add other trusted adults?
Use the Invite Trusted Adult option in Account > Family & Roles. Enter their name and email address. They receive an invitation link to create their account and set up their profile.
Any video call invitation they send to a child must be approved by the main parent.
How does my child start for the first time?
Your child will receive an invitation link at the email address you set during setup. When they click the link, iZiViD opens in their browser. To log in for the first time, they must enter the 4-digit PIN you created. You should give this PIN to your child via a different communication method than the invitation email — for example, during a phone call or message — to keep it secure.
Can my child log in alone?
Children can only open a planned meeting up to 10 minutes before it starts, and they cannot use any other part of the app until the adult has started the call.
How do I change my password?
Go to Account → Profile & Identity → Change Password.
What if I forget my password?
Use “Forgot Password” on the login page to reset it.
Can I have multiple parent accounts?
Yes. iZiViD supports three account types: main parent accounts, trusted adult accounts for other adults you invite, and child accounts. All adult accounts link automatically to all children in the family group.
The main parent approves every invitation a trusted adult sends to a child. The main parent also carries full responsibility for managing all accounts in the family group.
How do I delete a child or adult profile?
In Account → Family & Roles → choose the profile and select Delete.
Can the other parent see my personal content?
Only if you choose to share it with them in your account settings.
How do I update my profile picture?
Go to Account Settings → Profile → Change Photo.
Can I manage accounts for more than one family?
Yes, you can manage multiple children and families under your account.
Using iZiViD
How do I schedule a call?
You can schedule a call in two ways:
- Open the right-side menu and select Calendar. A quick menu will appear with the option Schedule New Call. When you tap it, the full scheduling flow starts.
- Schedule a call directly from the Calendar screen. Choose the date and time you want, and confirm the session.
On desktop and laptop, you can add the meeting to your calendar with one click.
Can I stream from YouTube?
Yes. You can share individual videos or full playlists directly in iZiViD, and you can watch them with your child in real time.
You can add single video links or full playlists. If you want more control, you can connect your own YouTube channel and select from your uploaded videos. This lets you create themed playlists for each child, such as holidays, learning, or family moments.
These playlists stay synced with your Session Timeline inside iZiViD, so you can prepare everything in advance and then watch it together during the call. Everything plays in real time on both sides.
Can I stream from Netflix or other providers?
Not yet. We are working on future integrations, but third-party video subscriptions are not bundled or supported right now. We will announce them as soon as they are available.
How should I use the Session Timeline?
The Session Timeline connects all your activities and experiences. Children respond well to structure, and the Timeline lets you plan everything you want to do with your child before the call starts so you do not lose time or their attention.
You can add screen themes, personal photos, slideshows, and videos. You can also plan activities such as reading a book, telling a story, playing memory games, or drawing together.
The Session Timeline also tracks duration, helping you balance socializing, learning, creativity, and fun.
How do I use the whiteboard feature?
The Whiteboard is a shared space where you and your child can draw, write, and work on activities together during a call. It offers drawing tools, coloring sheets, and highlighters. All changes appear in real time for both sides.
Coloring sheets can be preset in your Session Timeline.
Can I control what my child sees?
Yes. You control your child’s entire interface.
Every child starts with an age-based preset that decides which tools and features are available. You can adjust these settings at any time in Settings > select your child. You can also adjust controls in real time during a call. Unlocking or restricting a feature applies instantly on your child’s screen.
How do I read a book with my child?
You can read stories and books together by opening Books in the left menu during a call or adding them directly to your Session Timeline. Books appear in a full-screen slideshow format for your child, allowing you to turn pages together in real time.
Can multiple children join a call?
iZiViD is designed for one-on-one communication, helping a child build a deep connection with a parent. Two children can be present in the same call if they are physically together in front of the same device, but separate child accounts cannot join the same call from different locations.
Why should I use Goals & Rewards?
Goals & Rewards helps you guide your child in a positive way. You set clear goals (desired behaviors) and your child earns points or rewards for completing them. It helps distant fathers keep active authority and values in daily life.
How do I give rewards?
Select Goals & Rewards in the left menu to set points and assign rewards for positive actions. Review progress with your child during calls and update goals as they achieve their milestones.
Can I lock my child’s app?
Yes. The child’s interface is locked by default so young children do not accidentally exit the call. Tap the lock icon in the top-left corner of your call screen anytime to temporarily unlock their interface.

Safety, Privacy & Security
How is my child’s safety & information protected?
Online safety is central to iZiViD. As a company based in the Netherlands, we primarily comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant Dutch data protection laws, while also adhering to principles similar to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for a comprehensive child safety standard. We do not sell your personal data, and the main parent decides which adults are part of the family group and approves every invitation they send.
Read the Privacy Policy for the full details.
Is the platform ad-free?
iZiViD shows no ads of its own, and we do not sell your personal data. Video you bring from YouTube plays under YouTube’s own rules.
Why are sessions recorded?
Every iZiViD call is between an adult and a child, so every call is recorded, for your child’s safety. Recordings are encrypted. We do not watch or listen to them, and we never sell them. A recording is only released to an adult account holder who is entitled to it, or to a competent authority that lawfully requests it.
How long we keep a recording: six years, after which it is deleted.
Downloading a recording is separate from how long we keep it. Downloading is part of iZiViD Plus: Plus members can download a recording for one month after the call, and can pay to keep that download access for longer. Free members cannot download recordings. When download access ends, the recording is not deleted; it stays stored until the six years are over.
The Privacy Policy has the full details.
What happens to my child’s information when I use AI?
You decide. AI features are optional, and nothing about your child is sent to an AI feature automatically. The AI only gets what you choose to include, such as a name, an interest or this week’s spelling words.
You can use iZiViD AI, or connect an AI assistant of your own. If you connect your own assistant, what it does with the information is covered by your agreement with its provider.
We do not use your information or what you create to train AI models unless you opt in to that separately. Your child’s information is never used for training, even if you opt in.
The Privacy Policy has the full details.
Can strangers contact my child?
You choose which adults are part of your family group, and you approve every invitation they send. Public messaging and open chat are switched off.
How do I report abuse?
Contact support under Account > Legal & Support.
Trusted adults
Can other adults use iZiViD with my child?
Yes. The main parent account holder can invite your child’s other parent or another trusted adult and set specific access rights. A trusted adult receives a Trusted Adult account after being invited by the main parent. Once approved, they can schedule and run direct one-on-one sessions with the child.
How do we manage schedules?
The main parent manages the central schedule via the Calendar. System controls automatically prevent overlapping call invitations for the same child.
Technical Requirements & Compatibility
What devices does iZiViD work on?
iZiViD supports modern web browsers.
Which browsers are supported?
Latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari.
Do I need a fast internet connection?
We recommend a connection speed of at least 5 Mbps for stable audio and video.
Can I use it without a camera?
No. For child safety, a working camera is required on both sides. If a parent disables video or audio, the child feed automatically pauses to ensure safe, two-way interaction.
Does it work on low-bandwidth connections?
Yes, the app will dynamically lower video quality to maintain session connectivity.
